Joel leads our business development efforts focused on our Commercial market sector.† Prior to joining Kraus-Anderson Construction in 2022, Akason served as senior vice president of business investment for GREATER MSP, a Twin Cities economic development partnership that accelerates regional competitiveness and economic growth. He holds a B.S. from Winona State University, an MBA from Drake University and a Certification of Economic Development (CEcD). He is a member of the Accreditation Committee for the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) and served on the boards of the Mid America Economic Development Council (MAEDC) and Professional Developers of Iowa.
